Emotions form the background of our lives and as such can affect many aspects of our cognition, especially memory. The investigation of emotion and its impact on cognition is conducted in the lab using different approaches. In the lab it is investigated using cognitive experimental methods with or without physiological measures of emotion. Outside of the lab it is investigated in different contexts, for example a current project uses qualitative research methodologies to investigates emotion and its consequences for primary care dentists.

The lab is run by Susan Chipchase in the School of Psychology, University of Lincoln.
